Public Reading of "Waddie Welcome and The Beloved Community" by Tom Kohler and Susan Earl

Workshops
Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23, 2013, 9 a.m.- Noon

The workshops will be each be held four consecutive Saturdays in February and include storytelling, quilting, collage, mural, and poetry. The final products of these workshops will come together during the final event on April 5 during the First Friday Celebration.

Culminating Event
April 5, 2013, First Friday

This event will include a public storytelling, poetry reading, exhibit of collages, and the unveiling of the mural and hanging of the quilt created during the workshops. The storytelling and poetry readings will be held at the Black Box Theatre downtown, the collages will be exhibited at the Mary Vinson Library, the quilt will be hung at Digital Bridges, and the mural will be unveiled at the GCSU Health Sciences building.

Do you know people interested in starting an ADAPT chapter? Are you concerned that your chapter is just a couple folks and you aren't sure what to do?

The super-experienced ADAPT organizers in our Emerging Groups Workgroup are ready to help! The workgroup has organized a training to develop ADAPT groups.

The ADAPT Community wants to assist you in your advocacy to make your local community and/or state as accessible and institution free as possible.

Working together, we will make a difference! Applicants with a partner, in other words two individuals who will work together to bring about social change, will receive preference.
